I have been working on this Oil Painting, and thought you may like to see the progress. This artwork is based on one of my Photographs taken at Arrowtown/ Macetown down in central otago Queenstown way.
As with all my oil paintings I always start with underpainting it first … so here is the first photo with underpainting complete… now for the finer detail

I have been extremely busy over the last month or so, apart from being sick and trying to recover I have also been painting my way toward some exhibitions. I have been experimenting with a slightly different style and technique for me and finding it Great!… maybe down the track I might pop a photo or two on here and share them with you before the exhibitions!
Earlier this year I started to paint some smaller works and sold them on Trade Me which I really enjoyed doing. I must admit I have been so busy with creating my larger works that I haven’t really had time to paint any smaller artworks for Trade Me… so keep your eyes out and hopefully over the next couple of weeks I will be able to paint some more artworks and pop them on Trade Me!
